Himalayan Happy Hour is a brand new fundraiser by GlobeMed at CU Boulder. By purchasing a ticket to Himalayan Happy Hour, participants receive drink and/or food specials at five different Boulder restaurants; Cafe Aion, Tahona, Shine, Sushi Zanmai and Walnut Brewery. These specials last for 3 days (April 17th-19th) and are offered from 4PM to close at all five restaurants. Specific specials will be posted soon. For more information or to purchase a ticket, please visit our website: globemedcu.org All proceeds from ticket sales go to aid income generation for lower-caste, severely disadvantaged women in Nepal. This project empowers women in the remote Northern Dhading District of Nepal such that they can free themselves from situations of domestic violence as well as lead healthier, more educated lives. Through the donations of 3 goats per family, women will be able to sustain themselves and their families, economically. With economic viability they can then build latrines and cook stoves to reduce diarrhea and respiratory problems in their villages.
